About Magda

Magda is a half-Welsh witch turned creative empath, who was born and raised on the East London/Essex borderline, in a suburb where first generation middle class go to plateau.

After escaping that inspirational sink hole to study design at Glasgow School of Art, and experiencing the wince worthy disappointment of the not-so-creative innovation industry, Magda found herself writing comedy. Potentially from the trauma of being raised in London, and consistently encountering a full spectrum of humans and experiences, Magda's comedy characters are written as a way for her to make sense of the toxic and cruel world that ambushes us all every day.

Magda is not here to play to the gallery, and she prioritises creative freedom of expression over most things. After been offered a Ch4 comedy series, Magda's dad was diagnosed as terminally ill. Turning down the offer of TV was a tough choice to make, but Magda now understands that it's allowed her to create exactly what she wants, without filters or bevelled edges.
